Surrounded by mountain ranges, My Son is a cluster of Hindu temples and is Known as the “Valley of Kings”
My Son was added to the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1999.
Between the 4th and 13th centuries a unique culture owing its spiritual origins to Indian Hinduism, developed on the coast of contemporary Viet Nam. This is graphically illustrated by the remains of a series of impressive tower-temples located in a dramatic site that was the religious and political capital of the Champa Kingdom for most of its existence.
The distance from Hoi An to My Son is 50 kilometers and will take about an hour each way by car or jeep. If you choose to return by boat this is a 3 hour journey. The entrance fee into My Son is 150.000vnd per pax, which includes, entrance into the My Son Gallery Museum, traditonal dance performances ( exc Monday ) and a 2 km electric vehicle transfer from the entrance to the actual ruins.
OPENING / CLOSING TIME:
Open: from Monday to Sunday (including holidays, New Year, etc.)
In summer: 5.30am – 17.00pm May – Sept
In winter: 6.00am- 17.00pm Oct – April.
1./ By car and return by boat:
- A private transfer by 4 seat car is 650,000 VND per car
- A private transfer by 7 seat van is 700,000 VND per van
- A private transfer by 16 seat van is 770,000 VND per van
2./ By Jeep and return by boat (from Thanh Ha dock):
- Price for jeep: 1,610,000 VND/jeep
- Price for boat:
- 1- 5 pax: Small boat: 300,000 VND/hour *3 hours = 900,000 VND
- 6-14 pax: Big boat: 450,000 VND/hour *3 hours = 1,350,000 VND.
Note: A jeep can carry only 2 people with a guide and a driver.
The price exclude entrace fee at Thanh Ha 35,000 VND/ticket/people.
